I am actually really excited about Tauriel in The Hobbit. She sounds like she’ll be a really cool addition to the story. Plus besides the first time we see Arwen, there isn’t really a kickass elf woman. I trust Peter and Fran and them, I’m not worried in the slightest.
Agree! Really excited for her as well. In the sneak peek we saw other female warrior elves, which makes me so excited as what that implies about Mirkwood elves. They live in a rough environment (giant deadly spiders as neighbors, etc), so I imagine they’re all a bit rough themselves. A very different atmosphere than what we saw with Lothlórien’s elves. :{D
Agreeing with all of the above! :D I’m so happy that there is some Tauriel love, and can’t wait to see her fellow lady warriors! From all we’ve seen so far, the Mirkwood Elves are going to be a very distinct and intriguing culture, and more than suited to the harsh environment they are living in.

- plot twist: yahoo buys tumblr and we get proper blocking features, lockable posts, a sent folder in messages/fanmail with a better interface, ability to search multiple tags, removal of the post and message limits, proper search engines for likes/archives and removing that bloody "reblog as a link" option.
